What You’ll Do
User Experience Design and Strategy:
- Conduct User Research to deeply understand customer needs, identify difficulties, and create solutions that seamlessly integrate with the ServiceNow framework.
- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Define and communicate the user experience design strategy, vision, and guiding principles, ensuring alignment with project objectives and customer expectations.
- Explore divergent design solutions, develop detailed user flows, and build high-fidelity mockups and prototypes to effectively conceptualize design ideas.
- Develop user personas, road maps, and wireframes to guide the design process.
- Build intuitive and seamless user experiences that meet business and user goals.
- Collaborate with senior designers and design leadership to implement strategic visions while contributing outstanding insights and value.
- Build productive and collaborative relationships with internal teams, clients, and multi-functional peers, encouraging an environment of open communication and shared goals.
- Actively contribute to high-level strategic decisions with clients, users, and developers, balancing experienced opinions with customer needs.
- Mentor and support other designers or team members, sharing knowledge and fostering a mentality of continuous learning.
- Align with all the organizational policies and internal processes.
- Show design ideas using tools like wireframes, mockups, storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps, using software tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, FigJam, Miro, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Keynote, and similar applications.
- Craft intuitive graphic user interface elements, such as menus, tabs, and widgets, following ServiceNow's design standard methodologies.
- Ensure all designs align with ServiceNow standard processes and project roadmaps, working in tandem with the development team for flawless execution.
- Design visually appealing and cohesive interfaces for web and mobile applications.
- Stay updated on the latest strategies, industry standards, and trends to continuously improve the quality and innovation in design.
- Facilitate workshops to gather comprehensive information about users, defining success metrics for clients and customers.
- Clearly rationalize and justify design work, advocating for users' needs and ensuring that designs meet those needs effectively.
- Deliver polished designs by paying meticulous attention to details and following through on execution with the development team.
- Balance listening with advocating for expert opinions in solution determination, ensuring that user-centric design principles are at the forefront
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related design field
- (4+ years), or equivalent work experience
- (4+ years) Figma or Adobe-related certifications are an asset
- 3+ years of relevant experience designing, building, and shipping interfaces and digital experiences for web and mobile.
- Experience with Figma, FigJam, Miro and the Adobe suite of applications are a strong asset.
- Experience with SaaS products is an asset.
- Experience with designing for ServiceNow is desirable.
