The Opportunity: 


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated engineer to Join CENGN’s Customer Solutions Engineering Team. The CSE team is responsible for supporting complex infrastructure in support of our client’s test and validation projects.  We also provide advice and assistance to our clients on the latest networking and cloud technologies to support their journey through digital transformation. The candidate will be the external facing technical interface to the CENGN’s customers.  


Key Responsibilities: 

·       Oversee the delivery of innovative customer solutions, ensuring alignment with CENGN’s mission to foster technological advancement and industry collaboration


Customer Engagement:

·       Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and requirements

·       Act as the primary technical point of contact for customer projects, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction.


Solutions Engineering:

·       Lead the design, implementation, and support of customized solutions for CENGN’s clients by aligning CENGN’s services against customer requirements

·       Contribute to the evolution of CENGN’s service offering in an Agile manner

·       Ensure solutions meet client requirements, industry standards, and best practices across advanced networking, data management and cybersecurity.

·       Maximise delivery efficiency leveraging existing automation services to streamline the operations of the CENGN customer projects

·       Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in advanced networking, data management, cybersecurity and telecommunications.




Key Competencies/Qualifications: 

·       Proven experience working with customers on end to end solutions with networking, application and data related components

·       Ability to engage and support business development and marketing to translate customer requirements

·       Practical understanding of the Agile methodology and associated tools like Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket 


Must haves:

·       Technical expertise in cloud native application deployments (Docker, Kubernetes, CNCF projects, infra as-code) with a cloud agnostic approach

·       Expertise in UNIX/LINUX operating systems: RedHat, CentOS, Canonical Ubuntu, FreeBSD and other open source distributions

·       Experience with networking and routing protocols including understanding of 5G architectures

·       Experience with hypervisor technologies: KVM+Openstack, VMWare or similar


Nice to have:

·       Proven experience in system design and operations of highly available and distributed systems using containerization

·       Proven experience for test and validation with traffic and load generation tools such as jMeter, Locust, TRex, IXIA or others

·       Experience with modern distributed web architecture components like load balancers, reverse proxies, and web servers such as HAProxy, NGINX, Apache, Traefik, or similar

·       Experience with virtualized network functions such as firewalls (commercial or open source)

·       Experience with 3GPP networks either 4G and ideally 5G


Education:


·       Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience 


Languages:


  • English oral, reading, and writing 
  • French oral, reading, and writing or any other language would be considered an asset
