Position Overview: Compugen is seeking a UNIX Midrange Support Specialist for a three-year remote contract opportunity. While the role is primarily remote, occasional on-site sessions will be required, so candidates must be willing to travel as needed. This position also includes participation in an on-call rotation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Expertise in Red Hat, SuSe and AIX (3 to 5 years) is required.
• IBM Storage (including SVC) and backup support as well.
• Unix and system administration.
• Server and Application Maintenance.
• Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Providing technical support and troubleshooting for server issues to ensure smooth operation.
• User Training and Documentation: Creating technical documentation and user guides and providing training to users on new systems or updates.
  
  
  

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Unix (Red Hat, AIX and SuSe)
• Proficiency in Azure Administration.
• Technical Documentation: Ability to create technical documentation and user guides for new systems or updates.
• Security Management: Ensuring the security of systems by setting up and managing permissions.
• Related Certified Professional Designation
• 2 to 4 years of formal education (technical school or university)
