This unionized Administrative Assistant role involves traveling to Village at Mill Creek (VMC), Village at Smith Creek (VSC), and Sun Pointe Village (SPV), where you’ll provide vital support to Administrators, managers, team members, and the individuals and families we serve, fostering an organized and welcoming atmosphere.

This unionized Administrative Assistant role involves traveling to Village at Mill Creek (VMC), Village at Smith Creek (VSC), and Sun Pointe Village (SPV), where you’ll provide vital support to Administrators, managers, team members, and the individuals and families we serve, fostering an organized and welcoming atmosphere.
About The Role
- This role is from Tuesday to Wednesday (08:00-16:00, about 16 hours/week)
What You’ll Do:
- Handle incoming calls, emails, mail, and correspondence with warmth and professionalism.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as organizing confidential documents and maintaining filing systems.
- Prepare and process community admission paperwork, rate changes, suite vacancies and discharges with care.
- Collaborate with external partners to ensure accurate financial rate applications.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and coordinate equipment maintenance and meeting logistics.
- Support financial tasks, including processing invoices and assisting with month-end activities.
- Provide basic IT support, troubleshooting, and assistance with team scheduling and maintenance requests.
- Uphold privacy, confidentiality, and safety standards in all aspects of your work.
- Take on additional duties as needed to support the team and community.
- Completion of a recognized post-secondary Business Administration program or equivalent related experience.
- At least 3 years of administrative experience, preferably in long-term care, health care, or a community-focused setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher) and general technology, with the ability to pass Word and Excel assessments.
- Typing speed of at least 60 words per minute with accuracy.
- A bondable individual who excels both independently and within a collaborative team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for building meaningful connections.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled at managing multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with PointClickCare, Canva, or office equipment is a plus.
- Physical and mental readiness to perform duties in a dynamic environment.

Compensation & Benefits
- We offer an hourly salary of $29.40, with eligibility for comprehensive benefits including employer-paid extended health and dental coverage, along with three weeks’ vacation.
- Additionally, we provide MPP matched contributions and support for your ongoing professional development.
