Perched atop the locally owned and operated Chateau Victoria Hotel & Suites, Vista 18 Restaurant & Lounge is Victoria’s only rooftop restaurant, offering guests breathtaking views alongside a locally inspired culinary experience. For over 25 years, Vista 18 has been a proud part of the Victoria culinary scene and is known for its warm hospitality, exceptional food, and relaxed upscale atmosphere. We are currently seeking a Restaurant Manager to lead our team with passion, professionalism, and a guest-first mindset.

What You’ll Do:

As Restaurant Manager, with support from the F&B Manager as required, you will:

  • Lead daily operations of Vista 18 Restaurant & Lounge, ensuring seamless service and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Train, coach and support front-of-house staff in delivering professional and personable service.
  • Oversee the department hiring, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Work closely with the Food and Beverage Manager to maintain consistency in quality and standards.
  • Manage ordering and inventory of front of house beverages and mise-en-place
  • Monitor restaurant metrics (labour, guest satisfaction, revenue, etc.) and implement improvements where needed.
  • Maintain adherence to food safety, licensing, and workplace safety regulations.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Prior restaurant leadership or supervisory experience (minimum 1-2 years preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A collaborative and hands-on management style.
  • Passion for hospitality and a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Serving It Right certification (or willingness to obtain).
