Job Description

As our new Learning & Development Lead for the Americas region, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering a strategic learning framework that supports the professional growth of employees across Canada, the US, and LATAM. You will drive the development and implementation of a comprehensive learning and development strategy, ensuring alignment with business priorities and regional needs.

Working closely with the Global L&D team, you will help to identify key organizational training requirements and collaborates on tailored solutions to enhance workforce capability. Additionally, you will support the execution of the Global Learning Strategy, ensuring consistency and effectiveness in learning initiatives across the organization.

Key Accountabilities

Key Responsibilities


  • Learning Solutions Development: Identify, source, evaluate, and implement learning solutions tailored to the needs of the Americas region.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with managers and the People team to assess and address learning needs for staff.
  • Technical Excellence & Knowledge Sharing: Support managers and operational teams with technical learning programs and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Global Learning Implementation: Assist in rolling out global learning initiatives within the region to ensure alignment with broader learning strategies.
  • Regional L&D Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for learning and development (L&D) inquiries across the Americas region.
  • Compliance & Administrative Management: Maintain accurate records, track compliance-based programs, and report attendance data.
  • Career Development Support: Work with managers and the People team to align learning needs with career frameworks and promotion processes.
  • Learning Calendar Coordination: Collaborate with regional and global L&D teams to schedule and manage learning activities, ensuring alignment with other priorities.
  • Event Logistics Management: Oversee end-to-end logistical planning for internal and external learning events, including invitations, attendance tracking, and participant feedback.
  • LMS Administration: Support the ongoing management of our Cornerstone learning management system across the region.
  • Resource Development & Accessibility: Build and maintain shared learning resources to enhance staff access to key training materials.
  • Training Needs Analysis: Assist managers in developing training needs assessments to identify technical skill gaps within their teams.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:


  • 8 – 10 years of experience in learning & development, preferably coupled with a relevant tertiary qualification
  • Proven experience delivering and facilitating learning experiences both in-person and virtually, ensuring engaging and effective sessions.
  • Strong experience with LMS platforms; familiarity with Cornerstone is an advantage.
  • Skilled in designing and creating digital learning experiences using Articulate Rise360.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across regional and global levels, ensuring timely execution and high-quality outcomes.
  • Insights or HDBI accreditation is beneficial but not essential.
  • Willing and able to travel to Canada, the US, and LATAM to deliver and support learning programs.
  • Spanish language proficiency is highly desirable for broader learning engagement.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues effectively.
  • Comfortable navigating spreadsheets and IT systems, ensuring seamless execution of learning initiatives.
  • Takes initiative in identifying opportunities to enhance skill development within the organization.
