AbeBooks is seeking a Marketing Manager to support our global email marketing efforts and lifecycle strategy. This role will be responsible for executing and optimizing strategies that drive customer engagement and retention across our worldwide marketplace, contributing to our business growth. The ideal candidate is a data-driven, analytical lifecycle marketer. You should have strong strategic thinking, effective communication skills, and demonstrated success in customer-centric email marketing. You should have experience with automated lifecycle journeys in B2C and proficiency with data manipulation tools like Tableau or Excel. You are detail-oriented, analytical and eager to learn in the rapidly evolving digital landscape. Key job responsibilities * Execute and optimize our global email marketing programs, from engagement to retention efforts * Use SQL to build audiences, implement new segmentation strategies, creating personalized experiences that scale * Maintain and optimize automated email programs * Support promotional campaign execution in collaboration with our brand marketer * Work with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, business intelligence, and customer success to implement lifecycle initiatives * Monitor and report on key performance metrics * Keep up with lifecycle marketing trends and help implement new email technologies and methodologies About the team At AbeBooks, our mission is to enable people to discover and own the books they love by bringing together the broadest selection of physical books anywhere. The base salary for this position ranges from $68,400/year up to $114,300/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. - Experience using customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs
- Experience utilizing systems and tools involving email, web, analytics, and CRM (Marketo, Tableau, Salesforce, etc.) for targeting, segmentation, reporting for demand generation
- Experience utilizing SQL for data analytics
- Experience participating in test and learn initiatives and marketing optimization
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and agency partners
