What You’ll Like About This Job
Aecon is hiring multiple Journeypersons and Forepersons for Pipefitting, Millwrighting, and Scaffolding roles at the Giant Mine Water Treatment Plant project in Yellowknife, NT. These industrial construction roles offer high wages, 14x7 rotational shifts, and include camp accommodations with LOA and travel support. The project environment prioritizes safety and professional mentorship, with opportunities to supervise and train apprentices.
Perks & Benefits
- $46.69 - $56.17 per hour
- 14x7 rotation
- Camp accommodations
- $60/day LOA
- Travel allowance provided
- Overtime as per the collective agreement
- Valid Journeyperson ticket or enrollment in a Provincial apprenticeship program
- CSTS-20, Fall Protection, and Confined Space (all in-class certifications required)
- Relevant trade experience in an industrial construction environment
- Ability to lift 25kg and work in all weather conditions
- Strong adherence to industrial safety procedures
- Leadership or supervisory experience (Foreperson roles)
- Experience on remote job sites
- Proven mentorship and safety-first attitude when working with apprentices
