Role Overview

The Digital Merchandising Manager is a customer-focused and data-driven leader responsible for optimizing the online shopping experience and driving revenue growth for GoodMorning.com. This role involves day-to-day overseeing multiple eCommerce websites, ensuring a seamless and engaging customer journey that converts visitors into loyal customers. A successful candidate for this role will have a strong business operations and Digital eCommerce background. You must have demonstrated critical thinking, proven leadership, and strategic decision-making in a digital space . You will collaborate closely with the eCommerce Manager, and stakeholders to ensure that website content, product presentation, and online merchandising strategies align with the identity of each brand, marketing objectives, and overall eCommerce strategy.

In this role, you will be

  • Accountable for developing and optimizing product detail pages (PDPs), landing pages, and navigation flows to maximize conversion by:
    • Enhancing the shopping experience through intuitive layouts, clear CTAs, comparison tools, and other UX best practices.
  • Managing how products are presented online including imagery, descriptions, upsell/cross-sell modules, promotions, and bundles.
  • Ensuring alignment between product content and business goals (revenue targets, brand positioning, AOV growth).
  • Leading, coaching, and supporting a team of direct reports to meet merchandising goals and elevate performance.
  • Working closely with Creative, Advertising, Marketing and other development teams to bring campaigns and product launches to life.
  • Leading project briefs and timelines, managing inputs from multiple departments, and ensuring cohesive execution across touchpoints.
  • Utilizing analytics tools to monitor KPIs such as conversion rate, attach rate, CTR, ROAS, and bounce rate to inform merchandising decisions
  • Oversight for A/B testing page elements, user flows, and promotional strategies to improve engagement and conversion.
  • Ensuring product content is up-to-date, accurate, and SEO-optimized.
Our ideal candidate will have

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, eCommerce, or a related field.
  • 6 years of proven experience in digital merchandising, eCommerce, or online product strategy, with a demonstrated track record of success in optimizing website performance and driving online sales.
  • 6 years of strong business background in category management, product management and retail operations.
  • Minimum of 5 years of people management experience, leading teams or cross-functional groups.
  • 5 years of experience in forecasting, budgeting, revenue analysis, growth strategy, and business planning.
  • 6 years of experience using and leveraging analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Heatmaps, Session recordings to successfully identify performance issues, opportunities, and make strategic informed decisions
  • Ability to shape merchandising direction to support broader initiatives in new product launches, brand repositioning, seasonal revenue targets, including:
    • Understanding the financial impact of promotional strategies, markdowns, and bundling
    • Keeping customer behavior and expectations at the center of decisions.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and project ownership skills.
Nice to have Skills

  • Experience with merchandising in the home, mattress, or furniture category.
  • Familiarity with Canadian retail market or DTC brands
  • Experience working with content management systems (CMS), eComm platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento)
  • Comfort using dashboards or BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, GA4)
  • Understanding of SEO best practices related to PDPs and content hierarchy
  • Exposure to AR, 3D, or other innovative UX merchandising tools
