Cloud / QBO Bookkeeper

Agilus is recruiting for several Cloud/QBO Bookkeepers in the public accounting sector in a hybrid work environment in Edmonton, Alberta.

We are also hiring for a position based at our client’s office in Cold Lake, Alberta

A Day In The Life

• Maintain cloud-based financial records, including payables, receivables, payroll, and journal entries.
• Complete bank and account reconciliations, and prepare GST and other government returns.
• Generate periodic client reporting packages and perform general accounting tasks as needed.
• Identify automation opportunities and streamline processes using integrated cloud systems.
• Communicate with clients to ensure timely, accurate, and complete reporting.
• Document bookkeeping workflows and support onboarding/training for clients.
• Mentor junior bookkeepers and provide ongoing support for cloud accounting tools.
• Uphold strict data security and stay current on new features in cloud-based software.
  
  

The Successful Candidate Brings

• Diploma or equivalent in accounting, business or related field required
• Minimum 2 years full cycle public accounting experience in a cloud ecosystem
• Excellent working knowledge of cloud accounting software including QBO, Xero and various related apps, as well as an interest in technology and innovation
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills, with adaptability to changing priorities
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Ability to work collaboratively with other team members
  
  

Total Rewards

• Annual salary ranges from $45,000 to $70,000, depending on experience and educational background
• Bonus Structure: Performance-based bonus tied to achieving billing targets set at 3x base salary; percentage of billings paid out as bonus.
