Role Overview

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end procurement process for goods and services, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Develop and execute RFx strategies to obtain competitive bids and achieve cost-effective solutions.
  • Issue and manage purchase orders/service orders, ensuring accuracy and alignment with stakeholder needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to understand project requirements and align procurement strategies.
  • Address and resolve complex procurement issues, providing innovative solutions to meet business needs.
  • Mentor and train junior staff members, fostering continuous learning and development within the procurement team.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth procurement operations.
  • Evaluate and analyze supplier performance, negotiating terms and contracts to optimize value for the company.
  • Monitor market trends and industry developments to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Ensure all procurement activities are documented accurately and filed according to compliance and audit requirements.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Contract Analyst: Expertise in analyzing contracts and procurement processes.
  • Contract Administration: Proficient in managing contract lifecycle and compliance.
  • Buyer Expediting: Skilled in expediting orders and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Supply Chain Systems: Knowledge of SAP/Oracle systems without reliance on reference guides.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate within a team environment.
  • Stakeholder Influence: Capable of influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Attention to Detail: Outstanding organizational abilities with a focus on detail.
  • MS Office Proficiency: Strong skills in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Education & Experience

  • Degree: A related university degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification: Professional certification such as SCMP or CSCP is required.
  • Experience: 8-10 years of related experience in supply chain/procurement/contracts.
