Coulson Aviation operates with a fleet of large aerial firefighting aircraft consisting of both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. With our fleet, we can run rapid aerial fire suppression, including initial attack and extended attack protocols.

Coulson Aviation is a part of The Coulson Group of companies. We are a growing organization that has been in business for 65 years.

Due to our company growth and expanding footprint, we are looking to add a Construction Administrator in Port Alberni, BC.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We are seeking an enthusiastic Construction Administrator who understands that time management and communication is vital for getting projects done. They should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in managing the reporting of work and budget costs.
  • Preparing daily work schedules for contractors, laborers, and the construction crew with the Superintendent.
  • Adhering to both budgetary and time constraints.
  • Visiting and inspecting building sites with the Construction Manager.
  • Reporting on progress and updating schedules.
  • Preparing the Daily Report.
  • Assist in managing daily contractors and sub-contractors.
  • Assist in managing all contracts with suppliers and trades.
  • Preparing meeting notes and minutes as necessary.
  • Preparing time sheets for the construction crew.
  • Managing all printing, sorting and filing of documents.
  • Assist in managing and coordinating contracts and work orders.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skill set and accurate keying capability.
  • Knowledgeable in MS office, Excel, MS project and plotter printing is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry is preferred.

BENEFITS:

  • $25 - $30 an hour, depending on experience.
