About The Position

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Lead Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer to join a dynamic and collaborative team. In this role, you will be at the heart of designing, developing, and configuring complex Guidewire solutions. Your technical expertise and leadership will play a key role in supporting the team and mentoring junior developers while delivering robust solutions for the property and casualty insurance sector.

Requirements And Technical Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 9 years of proven experience in Guidewire application development
  • Expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter configuration (mandatory)
  • Knowledge of Guidewire BillingCenter configuration (a plus)
  • Strong skills in GOSU language and experience using Guidewire tools and accelerators, Guidewire Batch, and predefined plugins
  • Proficiency in Agile software development using Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, etc.
  • Solid understanding of the Property & Casualty insurance domain
  • Guidewire Cloud Certification is required
  • 7 years of hands-on experience with Guidewire development
  • 7 years of experience coding RESTful APIs


Objectives and Deliverables

  • Analyze software requirements efficiently
  • Design system architecture and technical documentation
  • Define screens, business rules, and workflow updates
  • Write, configure, package, and deploy Guidewire code
  • Implement and maintain coding standards
  • Perform unit testing and debugging
  • Participate in peer code reviews
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to team growth

  • Develop robust solutions within Guidewire PolicyCenter
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine functional requirements
  • Provide technical expertise throughout the development lifecycle
  • Support and guide junior team members
  • Ensure high standards of code quality, performance, and security

  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Ability to read and reverse-engineer code in other languages
  • Team-oriented mindset with leadership capabilities
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
