Transform Engineering Excellence at Field Aerospace
Are you ready to lead engineering innovation where cutting-edge technology meets mission-critical aerospace solutions?
Field Aerospace is seeking an exceptional Head of Engineering to spearhead our comprehensive engineering organization across our diverse portfolio of aerospace capabilities. This is not a typical engineering leadership role - it's an opportunity to architect the future of a dynamic organization that operates at the intersection of commercial aviation, defense applications, and specialized mission systems.
The Challenge: You'll inherit a technically capable engineering organization that needs visionary leadership to unlock its full potential. Our teams work across an extraordinary range of disciplines—from structural, avionics, electrical, and systems modification to performing test flights, delivering exceptional modification and digital upgrades from concept through lifecycle management, and managing more than 130 STCs on 64 aircraft types. What we need is a transformational leader who can bring focus, accountability, and strategic direction to harness this diverse expertise.
The Scope: As Head of Engineering, you'll oversee all engineering functions across Field Aerospace's integrated capabilities for the Canadian division, including:
This role demands someone who thrives in complexity and sees opportunity where others see challenges. You'll be joining an organization with proven technical capabilities, but one that needs a leader who can establish clear vision, implement robust processes, and create a culture of accountability and excellence. Our staff is completely familiar with the requirements for working within integrated product team (IPT) environments, and you'll build upon this foundation to create industry-leading engineering practices.
What We're Looking For:
We need a proven engineering executive with the rare combination of deep technical expertise, exceptional organizational acumen, and transformational leadership capabilities. You must be someone who can simultaneously navigate complex regulatory frameworks, drive operational excellence, and inspire teams to achieve breakthrough results.
This is a role for a leader who doesn't just manage engineering—but shapes its future.
If you're driven by the prospect of leading a multifaceted engineering organization where no two projects are alike, where innovation directly impacts mission success, and where your leadership can transform capability into competitive advantage, we want to hear from you.
