Job Summary

As a Trade Management Executive - Sales Representative, you will be a key player in developing our business and driving sales within the Global Forwarding sector, with a specific focus on export services. You'll be responsible for identifying new opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and expanding our market presence within your assigned area. In addition to export forwarding, you will also have the opportunity to sell other products and services, growing new business accounts within your portfolio.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maximize sales growth by identifying and developing new lane segments, implementing effective product marketing strategies, and providing exceptional customer support.
  • Proactively identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities, developing strategic approaches to secure accounts.
  • Ensure consistent revenue growth, meeting or exceeding company sales goals and targets.
  • Create, implement, and manage a comprehensive sales plan to achieve predetermined goals.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of our export Logistics product and service offerings (Air, FCL, LCL, special equipment, consolidations, trans-loading, and drayage services), and confidently manage the sales process from start to finish.
  • Effectively interact with clients, schedule meetings, deliver compelling presentations, and negotiate rate quotations with confidence.
  • Diligently record all customer activities in our Salesforce.com CRM and develop valuable customer intelligence.
  • Produce a weekly sales activity report for management, summarizing activities and identifying new revenue opportunities based on CRM data.
  • Support Global forwarding Product Management by conducting competitive analysis, suggesting improvements to our service offerings, and actively contributing to the enhancement of export forwarding marketing materials.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Experience: 5+ years of proven field sales experience (hunting and farming) within the freight forwarding and logistics industry.
  • Sea forwarding Expertise: 5+ years of experience specifically selling export forwarding services, including air, FCL, LCL, special equipment, consolidations, trans-loading, and drayage services
  • Logistics Knowledge: Solid understanding of logistics processes and solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • CRM Proficiency: Experience using Salesforce.com systems to manage sales activities and customer data.

Work Experience – Minimum Required

5 years of related experience

EDUCATION

Required: Associates Degree or post-secondary education

Preferred: Bachelors Degree or equivalent
