About The Role
The Distribution Supervisor will oversee and lead some of the following areas: Receiving, MHE, Replenishment, Picking, Packing to ensure the successful execution of daily and weekly operational objectives. This role is crucial in fostering a safe, efficient, and collaborative work environment while driving team performance and productivity. The supervisor will be responsible for maintaining inventory integrity, optimizing staffing and workflow, and ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols. Additionally, they will coach and develop team members, promote continuous improvement, and support other distribution functions to enhance operational efficiency. Strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to team development are key to the success of this role.
Distribution Supervisors report to Distribution Manager.

Distribution Supervisors report to Distribution Manager.
The Supervisor Will
- Engage and lead the distribution team in a manual pick pack operation.
- Oversee daily distribution operations, ensuring efficient processes are in place for space planning, storage, receiving, replenishment, picking, packing, and shipping, while ensuring timely delivery of materials.
- Perform daily reporting tasks, reconciliation, KPI tracking, and monitoring incomplete sales orders as per company policy.
- Champion a safe workplace culture by prioritizing safety training and accident readiness, ensuring all equipment is operated safely and efficiently.
- Cultivate a positive work environment where team members feel valued and motivated.
- Record attendance and lead morning start-of-shift (SOS) meetings to align team efforts.
- Conduct daily analysis to optimize staffing levels and workflow efficiency.
- Uphold proper work protocols to maintain consistency and quality standards.
- Actively participating and leading in establishing KPI's, performance and productivity metrics
- Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures to maximize efficiency and reduce operations costs
- Ensure team meets or exceeds performance metrics, including volume, productivity, and KPIs.
- Establishes course of action for self and others to ensure performance and efficiency
- Conduct weekly OKR meeting with the team.
- Conduct annual performance evaluations.
- Document user errors in the system to address and prevent future occurrences.
- Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members that allows for disagreement over ideas, conflict and expeditious conflict resolution, and the appreciation of diversity as well as cohesiveness, supportiveness, and working effectively together to enable each employee and the department to succeed.

- Foster effective relationships with peers, team members, and managers to facilitate communication and collaboration across departments.
- Mediate conflict resolution among team members to maintain a harmonious work environment.
- Works collaboratively across a broad group of stakeholders
- Collaborate with the Inventory Control Team to safeguard inventory integrity within the warehouse.
- Enforce safety policies and procedures to prevent workplace accidents.
- Conduct safety briefings and inspections.
- Drive continuous improvement across all aspects of distribution operations.
- Document and report damages in accordance with company filing policies.
- Provide support to other departments as required.
- Assist in implementing special projects as directed by the Distribution Manager.
- Engage in ongoing training, coaching, and development of staff, fostering transparent communication.
- Inspire team members with challenging assignments and coaching to promote individual growth and teamwork.
- Demonstrated success in leading diverse teams of 10+ associates.
- Over 4 years of supervisory experience, showcasing effective leadership skills.
- Proficient in the English language, with exceptional reading, writing, and oral communication abilities.
- Prior experience with NetSuite ERP and warehouse management systems RF SMART preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills, enabling clear and effective communication in various situations.
- Proven track record in motivating teams, managing conflicts, providing constructive feedback, and nurturing leadership development.
- Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and work in fast paced work environment
- Must have a positive attitude, with focus on teamwork and rapid problem resolution
- Ability to interpret and effectively communicate policies and procedures to others.
- Proven track record of using data and metrics in workload planning, labour planning, process improvement
- Advanced technical proficiency, including expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and
- Flexibility to support multiple shifts as needed.
