Located a short drive from the M1, Elizabeth Gardens Care Home is situated in the civil parish of Loughton and Great Holm, less than a ten minute drive from the centre of Milton Keynes. Great Holm and its surrounding areas include notable locations such as Bletchley Park and Silverstone Racing Circuit.

Elizabeth Gardens is perfectly situated to offer our residents a variety of day trips, from serene walks around Campbell Park to an evening out at Milton Keynes Theatre. Milton Keynes is also easily accessible on the train from London, meaning there are plenty of ways for loved ones to visit our home.

Elizabeth Gardens Care Home will offer 24-hour residential, nursing, dementia and respite care in an environment purpose-built for the practical delivery of high-quality care whilst still being stylish, comfortable and incorporating many thoughtful features that are always tailored towards the satisfaction and safety of our residents.

About The Role

As a Activities and Wellbeing Coordinator you will co-ordinate and support the planning, creation and delivery of our home's leisure and wellness programme which aims to encourage our residents to participate in a wide range of engaging activities and hobbies. You will take the lead in ensuring a programme of individual activities is available to enhance the lives and improve the holistic wellbeing of our residents. You will spend time getting to know our residents and tailor activities and leisure pursuits to deliver person-centred care.

About You

You don't need a background in care as we will provide a full training programme including NAPA Level 2, progression towards NAPA Level 3, and Awards for Supporting Activity Provision in Social Care.

You will be well organised and able to demonstrate the leadership qualities we look for in our Activities and Wellbeing Coordinators. You will need excellent computer literacy, and reading and writing skills, and you will be able to communicate clearly with a wide variety of people, including our residents. Above all else, you will have a genuine interest in active ageing for older people.

Weekend availability is essential as our Activity and Wellbeing Coordinators work alternate weekends.

The successful candidate will be subject to the provision of satisfactory references and a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, and they must be authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
