About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Services to Private Companies department, within the SME Services team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will play a key role in supporting a diverse client base, including SMEs, trusts, not-for-profit organizations, and holding companies, by delivering high-quality financial statements and tax filings.
This position is an excellent opportunity to apply your technical expertise and autonomy in a dynamic and professional environment, while contributing to the quality of our deliverables and client satisfaction. You will also help mentor junior colleagues, improve internal processes, and adopt innovative technological tools.

Your Responsibilities
- Perform compilation and review engagements for a variety of clients (SMEs, NPOs, trusts, investment companies), in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Prepare financial statements, related notes, and working papers with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Prepare corporate, trust, and occasionally individual tax returns.
- Ensure accounting documentation is kept up to date to support any required adjustments.
- Collaborate with tax specialists and partners on implementing optimal tax strategies.
- Review work prepared by junior colleagues and provide technical guidance when needed.
- Maintain proactive communication with clients, build trust-based relationships, and address their needs.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and the adoption of new technological tools.
- Meet established deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
- DEC in Accounting
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a public accounting firm or industry
- Proficiency with Caseware, Taxprep, and Excel
- Experience working with holding companies and related tax issues
- Basic knowledge of sales tax (GST/QST)
- Fluency in French and English to interact effectively with all our clients in Quebec and beyond
- CPA designation (asset)
- Knowledge of Sage, QuickBooks, and Artifex (assets)
- Experience with consolidation (asset)
- Strong technical skills and professional rigor
- Autonomy and ability to manage multiple files simultaneously
- Strong client relationship skills
- Business acumen and results-oriented mindset
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage budgets
- Integrity, professionalism, and a strong sense of responsibility
