As an Amenity Attendant, you will use your strong interpersonal and decision making skills to ensure citizens enjoy our indoor Aquatic Facilities in a safe manner. You will succeed in this position if you can perform all tasks in a respectful, inclusive and service-minded way. The City of Edmonton is looking for amenity attendants to support our facilities during the busy summer months, including our five outdoor pools.
What will you do?
Up to 6 temporary part-time ongoing positions
Hours of Work: Up to 8 hour shifts per day, up 29.5 hours per week. Evening and weekend work is required.
Salary: $20.320 per hour

What will you do?
- Greet patrons in a friendly and respectful way
- Ensure appropriate behaviour and use of all equipment, such as slides and diving boards
- Ensure the safety of all patrons using facility amenities
- Ensure patrons are obeying rules and general facility guidelines
- Assist lifeguards in crowd control and marking arms
- Assist lifeguards with opening and closing of the amenities
- Control the movement of patrons in and out of the pavilions/dressing rooms
- Clean touch points as required
- Maintain statistics and administrative tasks including timesheets
- Act as a customer service representative on site
- Assist staff in emergency response as directed
- Perform other related duties as required
- Minimum 14 years of age; 15 years and older may be required depending on the facility
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle difficult situations
- Ability to perform the sustained and repetitive tasks related to the role, such as being upright for long periods of time
- Ability to effectively communicate and provide direction to facility users

- Ability to swim 25m comfortably
- Experience working in a swimming pool environment and/or in a customer service role serving the public
- Ability to communicate in a second language
- Intermediate First Aid and CPR Level C certification
- Hire is dependent on Police Information Check including Vulnerable Sector check satisfactory to the City of Edmonton
