What will you do?
In the role of Product Manager, Panelboards & Switchboards, you will be responsible for managing and supporting the profit plan for the Canadian panelboard and switchboard business. You will be responsible for Product Marketing by collaborating with the US product lines and Canadian product engineering to develop and enhance the product portfolio. You will drive front end efficiencies via Bid Manager and operational efficiencies by supporting the plant in Value Add and Value Engineered (VA/VE) activities.
Sales Support is an important function of this role. You will provide quotation support and guidance to the sales organization on the product line offering. Acting as liaison between sales and the manufacturing plant, you will ensure delivery & design requirements are addressed efficiently.
Finally, you will steer Market and Product Growth by creating a strategic plan, implementing the profit plan, executing product line roadmaps and launching new products and services into the Canadian marketplace in an effective and timely manner. Creating and deploying marketing activities and marketing collaterals targeted to different market segments will be an important activity in this role.
What Will Make You Successful?
A key aspect of being successful in your role will be to collaborate effectively with internal customers to ensure entire product offering is supported in sales quotation and order management tools. This role will support sales districts and channel partners with product training via trade shows, seminars, and sales conferences.
Your ability to understand our competitor's strengths and weaknesses, and to work with the sales districts to implement Marketing plans to increase Eaton's market share, a critical metric of success. Developing and maintaining effective customer feedback mechanisms, carrying out a product gap analysis and identifying areas for improvement that will meet both short term and long term growth objectives for the product line, will ensure profitable returns for the business unit.

Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- University degree in Engineering or Business.
- 5 years’ experience in sales, marketing, operations, and/or engineering related to power distribution products.
- 2 years’ experience dealing with commercial aspects and pricing.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
- No relocation is being offered for this position.
- Strong technical product knowledge of electrical distribution and control systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of power distribution, breaker and switchgear products.
- Bilingual proficiency would be an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong presentation skills and public speaking experience.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability and an innovative mind set.
- Ability to take product line’s initiatives from origination to completion by working with multiple stakeholders.
