The mandate of the Manager, Account Management role is to create/amend credit risk strategies, monitor strategy performance, support business line initiatives, and recommend resolutions for customer escalations related to the Credit Card, Line of Credit, and Overdraft Protection portfolios under Retail Unsecured Lending. These objectives aim to support the profitable growth of the Canadian Banking portfolio while maintaining GRM's risk appetite.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
Portfolio Monitoring
- Enhance and produce reporting to monitor portfolio performance, ensuring alignment with the credit risk appetite.
- Analyze strategy effectiveness. Leverage Champion/Challenger capabilities to confirm assumptions and recommend changes. Identify if any credit risks are or will become in excess of the risk appetite framework and make recommendations on how to mitigate.
- Work effectively with internal stakeholders, including Business and Technology partners, to support the identification, development, implementation, and monitoring of strategies.
- Collaborate with the Business to ensure account management strategies are developed using best practices, including decision science and data-driven strategy.
- Ensure business strategies across customer lifecycle management are consistent with the Risk Appetite Framework.
- Collaborate with the model validation team to validate performance of existing account management credit risk strategies and remediate as required.
- Provide timely support on account management escalations.
- Adhere to the current strategy policies and processes.
- Produce and enhance the existing suite of credit risk strategy reports.
- Monitor credit risk strategies, provide insights on variances, and identify opportunities for strategy enhancement.
- Develop and implement account management strategies for unsecured retail credit portfolios under Retail Lending to drive incremental balance and risk-adjusted revenue to support business objectives.
- Leverage Champion/Challenger capabilities, incorporate non-traditional data, and other innovations to continuously improve existing strategies.
- Use data mining skills to design and execute portfolio segmentation for optimizing risk-return.
- Recommend enhancements to existing account management strategies, procedures, and policies to improve portfolio performance.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business or a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Sciences, Math, or Engineering.
- 1-3 years of experience in an analytical role conducting statistical analysis or modeling. Experience in credit risk management or the financial sector is an asset.
- Proficient in the use of SAS tools for data extract and transform. Experience with other programming languages such as SQL, Python, and R is an asset.
- Understanding of predictive modelling techniques, particularly categorical models such as decision trees. Experience developing models in SAS Viya or other predictive modelling software an asset.
- Experience with TSYS and TRIAD account management systems is an asset.
- Proficient in the use of Power BI or other visualization tools is an asset.
- Strong business acumen with an advanced understanding of retail credit products.
- Strong communication and presentation skills complemented by solid problem-solving skills.

- Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with teammates to solve problems, proactively address emerging risks, and anticipate client needs.
