Cyber Security Administrator - ELK

On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a Cyber Security Administrator II to design systems hardware and software solutions, define systems scope, and provide recommendations for all systems-supported infrastructure as part of regular operations.
Responsibilities:
• Design solutions to resolve system-related business problems, meet user requirements, and streamline system workflows.
• Formulates and defines system scope and objectives and recommends a strategy, potential solution, or "workaround".
• Monitors and analyzes systems issues and provides recommendations for all systems-supported infrastructure as part of regular operations. - Provides guidance and training to less experienced analysts.
• Writes and maintains systems documentation including user and technical manuals.
• Designs, provisions, and configures systems.
• Acts as a liaison between technical groups and stakeholders to coordinate the system's installation and ensure technical compatibility and satisfaction.
• Prepares documentation and defines system-specific dependencies to assist in problem analysis.
• Provides recommendations for improving procedures and coordinating system implementation.
• Integrates development of best practices, standards, procedures, and quality objectives across systems infrastructure or platforms.
• Maintains appropriate professional designations and up-to-date knowledge of current information technology techniques and tools.
• Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
• 3 years of Working knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• 2 years of Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana (ELK) service management in an operational environment (Including Index life cycle management, snapshots/restore) experience.
• 2 years of Configure ELK pipelines (using grok patterns and scripts) experience
• 2 years of Scripting (Unix shell or PowerShell) experience
• 2 years of Service Management (including Incident Management) experience
• 2 years of Working knowledge of version control tools such as Git for code management, deployment, and issue management
• 5 years of experience in communicating and facilitating technical and non-technical discussions during client and stakeholder meetings
• Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline (or the equivalent combination of education and experience) (4 years)
• 2 years of Cybersecurity experience
• 10 years of Professional Information Technology (IT) experience
Desired qualifications:
• CISSP or other cybersecurity certification
• ITIL certification
• Identity and Access Management (such as SAML, OIDC, PAM, MFA, Active Directory, LDAP, etc)
• System Automation using Ansible/Terraform
• Message brokers such as Redis and Kafka
• Data Analytics and/or Power BI
• Clouds technologies (AWS, Azure)
• Network technologies (such as Firewalls, and load balancers)
• System administration of managing operational environment with medium to large Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) infrastructure
• Programming (Ruby or Java or Python or C# or Node.JS)
