Whether speaking to a tenant, direct report, or part of the executive team, you find it easy to relate to and build rapport with others. You have excellent communication skills and can relay information in a clear and concise way. You’re organized and detail oriented, and enjoy being responsible for a wide variety of tasks in a dynamic role.
What You'll Be Doing
The Director of Residential Services is responsible for supporting on site staff with tenancy issues, creating and managing facility operations manuals, reviewing and optimizing management processes, and assisting in staffing requirements.
Duties include, but aren’t limited to:
- Provides direction and support to Resident Managers
- Resolves escalated Tenant disputes, reviews and resolves Tenant delinquencies, and acts as the primary representative during Tenancy Arbitration Hearings
- Manages and leads changes in the Property Management System
- Administration of Property Forms and Agreements, and Leases and Applications related to Residential and Commercial Property Management
- Property advertising and promotions
- Tenant accounting and communications
- Conducts site visits, including reviewing units on turn over for required improvements
- Emergency response
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years experience in property management, with a proven track record in managing residential multi family facilities
- Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory capacity
- Strong knowledge of property management principles, practices, and regulations
- Extensive knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act
- Strong conflict resolutions skills
- Strong English communication skills - both verbal and written
- Clear Criminal Record Check as this is a position of trust
Other Information
Salary: $70,000 to $85,000 annually
Recruitment Process: Applicants will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. A Criminal Record Search and reference checks will be conducted as part of the process.
Status: Full-time permanent
Hours Per Week: 40 + on call
