MCC is looking for a dynamic Program Manager, Assessment to take the helm of one or more of our high-impact assessment programs. Reporting to the Manager, Programs and Projects, you'll lead the charge in planning, delivering, and evaluating critical program initiatives that align with our mission of excellence in assessment.
In this pivotal role, you'll coordinate across internal teams, external partners, and vendors to ensure programs are executed on time, on budget, and to the highest standards. Beyond day-to-day operations, you'll contribute to transformational projects—whether it's enhancing systems, improving processes, developing new products, or engaging with key stakeholders. Your leadership will drive collaboration, mitigate risks, and fuel continuous improvement at every step.

What You’ll Do
- Lead the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of assessment programs to ensure consistent, high quality delivery.
- Maintain and update operational plans, calendars, workbooks, and budgets; ensuring program activities align with MCC's mission and priorities.
- Document and manage a repository of program policies, regulations, and procedures.
- Coordinate readiness across internal departments, external vendors and partners, ensuring business continuity and interested party preparedness.
- Participate in or lead time-bound projects that directly impact the assigned programs (e.g., platform implementations, process redesigns, content modernization).
- Define project scopes, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with internal and external interested parties.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all interested parties related to the program delivery.
- Plan and facilitate engagement with key partners, including exam sites, vendors, regulatory bodies, academic institutions, and government agencies.
- Build and lead multi-disciplinary program teams composed of internal staff, subject matter experts, and vendor representatives.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team environment.
What you need to succeed
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in program or project management roles.
- Experience managing relationships with vendors and monitoring vendor operations/performance
- Experience in the assessment or healthcare industries an asset
- Strong project/program management skills including planning, risk management and reporting
- Ability to analyze information/data, identify trends and make recommendations
- Strong technical skills with various software applications and tools, including SharePoint, Microsoft Office, and project management platforms (e.g., Asana, Trello, MS Project, PowerBI), combined with a solid understanding of system interfaces, business requirements, and processes
- Proven ability to develop clear, actionable policies and deliver complex or sensitive information to committees and stakeholders through formal presentations, reports, and briefings.
- Knowledge of assessment best practices an asset
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities in operational contexts
- Effective communicator across internal and external audiences
- Exceptional interpersonal skills: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships and communicate effectively while under pressure - balancing confidence, humility, and diplomacy
- Analytical and adaptable, with a continuous improvement mindset
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Education, Health, or another related field
- A PMP or other project management certification (e.g., Agile), information management would be considered an asset
- Advanced oral and written skills in English are required, with oral and written skills in French considered an asset
