About the role:
Reporting to the Weld Shop Supervisor, the Machinist is responsible for maintaining, repairing and fabricating machinery and equipment in a shop environment.
This is a full-time hourly position that offers an attractive 4x4 day shift schedule.
The position is site-based at our operations in the Elk Valley, and the ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Sparwood, B.C is necessary.
In this role you will:
- Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
- Operate machine tools to fabricate, install and repair equipment
- Fabricate new and replacement parts for facility machinery
- Rebuild components for production and auxiliary equipment
- Implement preventative QA/QC measures
Requirements:
- Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Machinist Certification
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Previous mining experience is an asset
- Experience with manual lathes is an asset

Salary: 131,000 CAD/ year
Base earnings reflected in salary range includes the hourly wage plus applicable shift premiums and will differ depending on location. It is calculated using a reasonably expected number of hours worked per year.
