Key Responsibilities

  • Perform visual inspections on pressure vessels (API 510) and piping systems (API 570 in accordance with applicable codes and client specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with ASME, API, and company standards.
  • Document and report findings including deficiencies, corrosion rates, and mechanical integrity concerns.
  • Prepare details inspection reports.
  • Coordinate with engineers, NDE technicians, project managers to plan inspections and interpret results.
  • Perform fit for service assessments and evaluate remaining life.
  • Support corrosion monitoring and risk based inspection programs.
  • Main inspection records and ensure timely entry into data management systems.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by strictly following safety standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Perform assigned duties in line with MISTRAS’ core values and procedures.
  • Carry out inspections within your certification scope.
  • Navigate within a nuclear power plant, including access to elevated platforms, confined spaces, and ladders.


Qualifications

  • API 510
  • API 570
  • 3-5 years of hands on inspection experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and basic computer systems.
  • Strong communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to follow instructions, maintain focus, and multitask efficiently.
  • Willingness to travel to site.
  • Must submit a valid driver’s license, a 3-year driving abstract, and pass a pre-access drug and alcohol test prior to site access.


Essential Job Demands

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 55 pounds.
  • Frequent walking, climbing, bending, and standing during inspections.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
  • Exposure to loud noises, chemicals, and high temperature
