Description

As a Senior District Manager for Ontario, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our Canadian retail operations. You will be responsible for leading a team of District and Cluster Managers, with oversight of multiple high-performing and strategically important store locations across Central Canada. You will be the driving force behind strategic growth, team development, and operational excellence. This is a high-impact role suited for a commercially minded, inspirational leader who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-centric retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Operational Execution (Stores)

  • Manage a team of store leaders, including setting goals, relaying expectations and managing performance, providing regular feedback, and supporting career development.
  • Delegate and influence to drive exceptional results in your stores, including executing standard operating procedures, identifying areas of improvement, implementing solutions, and providing ongoing feedback to store manager, regional leaders, and corporate stakeholders.
  • Analyse data and use business metrics to measure and drive performance and convey results in a clear and concise manner.
  • Use business acumen and critical thinking skills to identify trends, drive root cause analyses, and resolve issues in store operations in a single store or across your district.
  • Represent your district in regional and nationwide meetings and respond to escalations from business leaders and other stakeholders.

Team Development & Talent Management

  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of field leaders and their respective store teams, fostering a culture of high performance and development.
  • Build and execute a robust succession and development plan, nurturing future leaders from within the business.
  • Drive employee engagement through recognition, coaching, and transparent communication.

Customer & Brand Excellence

  • Instil a culture of exceptional customer service and maintain a focus on delivering an elevated in-store experience aligned with our brand ethos.
  • Support visual merchandising execution to meet brand and commercial expectations.

Financial Accountability & Business Analysis

  • Analyse regional and store-level performance metrics, identifying trends and action plans to improve sales, profit, and customer conversion.
  • Manage budgets and develop cost-saving initiatives while maximising margin and operational efficiency.
  • Lead initiatives to reverse underperformance through structured visit cycles and actionable feedback.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Visual Merchandising, HR, Training, and Operations teams to enhance field execution and team capability.

We Would Like To Meet Someone Who Is

  • A minimum of 4 years of multi-unit field leadership experience, ideally overseeing both direct and indirect reports with multi-site experience.
  • Proven success in retail or service-based environments, with a strong preference for apparel or outdoor retail experience.
  • A data-driven mindset with a track record of exceeding KPIs across sales, profitability, and customer experience.
  • Strong leadership acumen with experience coaching other leaders, managing complexity, and scaling teams.
  • Ability to operate autonomously in a regional leadership role, with strong planning and prioritisation skills.
  • Experience leading change, launching stores, or managing turnaround strategies is highly valued.
