Wakefield Canada Inc. has an opportunity for a SUPPLY CHAIN SPECIALIST. Monday to Friday on site at our Edmonton warehouse facility.


In this role, you will:

  • Support the day-to-day operations for the Western Region.
  • Release Sales Orders (SO’s) to the warehouse for picking.
  • Reserving SO’s that didn’t reserve at Order Creation due to lack of inventory.
  • Provide support in Sales Order management in the region.
  • Provide support to Vancouver, Calgary & Winnipeg as well as Edmonton.
  • Participate in warehouse control and inventory cycle counting.
  • Coordinate logistics with third party carriers across the Western Region.
  • Validate ship confirmations for bulk through the iBulk application.
  • Provide support and back up as needed in warehouse and to Distribution & WMS Supervisor.
  • Perform a variety of administrative and office support functions.
  • Support and promote adherence to all Wakefield policies and procedures.

Successful candidates will also have:

  • High School Diploma required, with post-secondary diploma
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supply chain support role, preferably in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • General knowledge of supply chain concepts
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software and technology. Strong Microsoft office skills with intermediate Excel skills.
  • Experience working with an ERP or WMS would be an asset
  • Flexibility to work according to operational requirements such as vacations, absences, and fluctuating work volumes.
