Millwright

Agilus is recruiting for a Mechanical Technician (Millwright) in the Oil and Gas industry in Burnaby, British Columbia.

As a Mechanical Technician (Millwright), you will be part of a progressive and fast-paced team of experts. You will be responsible for ensuring maximum uptime and the safe remote operation of pipeline pumping equipment and components, contributing to the safety of coworkers, the public, and the environment.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain motors, pumps, valves, mechanical seals, samplers, mixers, relief valves, flow meters, dock loading arms, and other related mechanical equipment.
• Perform scheduled checks on operations stations and facilities.
• Complete mechanical training, including KEEP Canada, Emergency Response, and GLOBAL.
• Provide contractor oversight and monitoring.
• Participate in emergency response exercises and scenarios.
• Assist other technical groups, including maintenance and operations.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years’ Millwright experience in oil and gas/crude oil production/pipeline
• Journeyman Millwright Diploma (Red Seal Interprovincial endorsement) required; High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts on a 5-4-4-5 rotation; Strong commitment to safety for personnel, company assets, and the public.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook; Familiarity with computer-based maintenance programs is a plus.
• Positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently; Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Total rewards:

• $54.00 - $59.00 hourly
