TransX Ltd has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Account Manager to join our Sales & Marketing Department. The Sales Account Manager is responsible for managing and developing key customer accounts, driving sales growth, and ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service. This role involves building strong relationships with clients, identifying business opportunities, and collaborating with internal teams to meet customer needs and exceed sales targets.


Operating for over 50 years; the TransX LTD is one of the largest Canadian (CN Rail-owned) providers of premier integrated transportation and logistics services across North America. With 11 locations across Canada and the USA, approximately 900 company employees, and over 4000 trucks, trailers, and containers, our team is dedicated to building strong business relationships and providing service excellence to support our customer’s business needs.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Additional sales training or certifications are a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience in sales, account management, or business development, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and developing strong customer relationships.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with customers.
  • Excellent presentation and proposal development skills.
  • Ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales tracking tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple accounts, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with other departments.
  • Knowledge of the industry and market trends is a plus


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customer accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, requests, and concerns, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
  • Conduct regular customer meetings and presentations to assess needs, gather feedback, and align solutions with business requirements.
  • Assist internal teams with account-specific issues as they arise (invoicing, claims, service, etc.)
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting and cold calling potential clients.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets and contribute to business growth.
  • Prepare and present proposals, pricing, and contract negotiations to customers.
  • Present pricing proposals, and manage contract negotiations with customers.
  • Prepare and submit regular sales reports to senior management, outlining sales activities, pipeline status, and forecasted revenue.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials, campaigns, and initiatives that align with sales goals.
  • Work closely with operations, logistics, and other departments to ensure the smooth execution of customer orders and timely delivery of services.
  • Provide feedback to product development and marketing teams on customer needs and market trends.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor offerings to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to build brand awareness and develop new business connections.
  • Ability/willingness to travel to localized Provinces & States for meetings, presentations and prospecting purposes.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Working Condition:

  • Office setting, may require to work off-site and travel required
  • Reporting in our Winnipeg Head Office location
