About The Opportunity
Our Public Sector client is seeking the services of an experienced Alternate Dispute Resolution Practitioner to lead a workplace assessment engagement in response to recent organizational changes. Working under the Departmental Regulatory and Litigation Oversight (DRLO) team at the Department of National Defence, this role is responsible for assessing workplace dynamics and presenting actionable findings to senior leadership. This is a short-term, high-impact contract requiring a seasoned professional who is comfortable interfacing with senior stakeholders and navigating complex organizational environments.

Working under the Departmental Regulatory and Litigation Oversight (DRLO) team at the Department of National Defence, this role is responsible for assessing workplace dynamics and presenting actionable findings to senior leadership. This is a short-term, high-impact contract requiring a seasoned professional who is comfortable interfacing with senior stakeholders and navigating complex organizational environments.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Develop a comprehensive work plan and approach for the assessment
- Conduct confidential interviews with employees and leadership
- Analyze findings and prepare a detailed report outlining observations and recommendations
- Work independently and collaboratively with designated points of contact within DND
- Ensure neutrality, confidentiality, and discretion throughout all phases of the engagement
- Provide services bilingually (French and English) and be available to work outside regular hours if required
The successful candidate will bring the following:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma relevant to dispute resolution, psychology, organizational behaviour, or a related field
- Completion of recognized workplace investigation training from a post-secondary institution is considered an asset
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience providing investigative services to senior level clients who held a minimum level position of:
- Senior Management public service position (Director General or above) within any of the Government of Canada’s Departments, Provincial or Municipal Government, Agencies, Crown Corporations, Special Operating Agencies or various affiliated organizations; OR
- Senior Canadian Armed Forces Officers (Colonel or above); OR
- Senior Management position (Director or above) within the private sector
- Demonstrated experience working with or in organizations involving military personnel is preferred
- Bilingual (English and French) – oral and written proficiency in both official languages is mandatory
- Valid Reliability Status security clearance at time of submission About the Job
- Duration: Short-term contract, estimated 50 working days across three phases
- Location: Remote (with potential on-site work as required)
