Azure Kubernetes Engineer

Job Title: Azure Kubernetes Engineer

Salary: $60/hr - $90/hr (USD)

Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada OR Los Angeles (Hybrid)

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize Azure AKS clusters for high availability, security, and scalability
• Implement GitOps workflows using ArgoCD, Helm, and GitHub Actions
• Configure and manage Azure AKS IAM for secure access and permissions
• Troubleshoot and resolve Kubernetes cluster and deployment issues
• Collaborate with engineering teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and application rollouts
• Document processes, configurations, and best practices for Kubernetes operations
  
  
  

Requirements

• Deep experience with Helm and Go templating for Kubernetes deployments
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, with hands-on experience managing AKS
• Experience running multi-tenant Kubernetes clusters at scale
• Proficiency with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD and GitHub Actions
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes internals, networking, and container orchestration
• Familiarity with Kubernetes CNI (Container Network Interface) plugins
  
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Crossplane for infrastructure management through Kubernetes
• Strong background in Policy as Code tools (e.g., OPA, Kyverno)
• Expertise in configuring and managing Azure AKS IAM policies
