Responsibilities
- Create and manage governance and compliance communications
- Develop policies, documentation, and training materials to guide data stewardship
- Design metadata standards, cataloging, and quality frameworks
- Build relationships with data owners/stewards across business units
- Support governance audits and maintain data glossaries
- Document roles, responsibilities, and accountability frameworks
- Track compliance adoption and improve governance processes
- Lead cross-functional regulatory readiness initiatives
- Create governance content for internal knowledge platforms
- Perform risk assessments on data usage and quality
- Coordinate stewardship assignments and establish data ownership
- Experience with data governance, quality management, and stewardship practices
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks such as PIPEDA
- High skilled in developing governance documentation and training materials
- Experience coordinating across compliance, data, and business teams
- Knowledge of metadata tools (IBM Knowledge Catalog, Informatica, Collibra)
- Proven history supporting data compliance initiatives
- Ability to work effectively with business, IT, legal, and privacy teams
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms and compliance implications
- SQL and data modeling experience a plus
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills for promoting data literacy
- 3-4 days in the office
