Job Description:

On behalf of our client, a pioneering wireless IC company building the future of high-performance transmitters, Affinity is seeking a Senior RFIC Engineer (Power Amplifier). This role focuses on CMOS/BiCMOS-based PA design for next-generation wireless infrastructure, edge devices, and aerospace systems. The successful candidate will drive PA development from concept through tape-out, validation, and production.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead RF Power Amplifier and transmitter front-end design using CMOS/BiCMOS technologies (GaN and GaAs experience welcomed but not essential)
  • Perform transistor-level circuit design, simulation, and optimization using Cadence, ADS, and HFSS
  • Conduct load-pull analysis and linearity/power efficiency tuning
  • Work with layout engineers and validation teams to optimize design robustness
  • Support lab testing, debugging, and system integration of PA and Tx ICs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align product performance with system requirements

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, with RF/analog specialization; PhD preferred
  • 8+ years of transmitter IC or PA design experience, with recent CMOS design focus
  • Strong knowledge of RF simulation tools and tape-out processes
  • Experience with post-silicon evaluation and optimization
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary Range: $170,000 – $200,000 USD
  • Performance Bonus
