What will your typical day look like?


As a manager some of your duties will include but not limited to:


  • Lead projects which design, define and build solutions for the detection and prevention of fraud, waste and abuse including “Risk Based Processing” via rules and analytical models.
  • Collaborate with and harness the skills and expertise of business experts, other solution and technical architectural and technical leaders and SME’s.
  • Work very collaboratively across a very complex transformation team with multiple vendors/partners and multiple client stakeholder groups.
  • Lead the development of high-level business expectations (e.g. End State Vision, Capability Model, Strategic Roadmap) to support development of an integrated solution and long term vision.
  • Assess current state capabilities and future state needs to determine requirements and approach for new technology; support/guide client in external product evaluation and selection if needed.
  • Establish a strong understanding of Product/functional direction and Integrity (fraud, waste and abuse) risks and tolerances in order to guide a multi-year deployment of capabilities including proofs of concepts.
  • Build capabilities and people skills (talent) to support the growth of this team as work evolves into design, implementation and feature based delivery of Integrity Risk Mitigations (e.g. rules, models, integrations).
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and take proactive measures to mitigate them.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and project sponsors.
  • Communicate project updates, milestones, and outcomes effectively to ensure alignment and buy-in from all parties involved.
  • Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear, understandable language.

The Financial Crime Practice at Deloitte Canada is looking for seasoned solution &/or product manager to join us on our mission to help government design and build the most innovative technology solutions to detect and prevent fraud waste and abuse in government business processes and systems.


NOTE: Given that several active projects are with the Government of Canada, candidate must have or be eligible to obtain a secret security clearance with the Government of Canada

You are someone who is/has:


  • Highly collaborative working in complex multi-stakeholder and multi-systems integrator environments.
  • Strong communicator, including listening skills with an ability to translate insights across business and technology teams and to develop and present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies, product development and principles of solution planning and design, including prior experience and demonstratable skills.
  • This role is not hands on technical but works closely with architectural and technical leaders and SME’s. Broad knowledge of technology practices, capabilities and solutions in market is valuable.
  • Experience in leading a team that includes technical and non-technical professionals in the delivery of an engagement
  • Proven experience in “story-telling” – providing practical insights to non-technical stakeholders
  • Interested in understanding the problem statement, and use cases of Program Integrity (e.g. Gov’t Fraud, Waste & Abuse) and apply this knowledge in your every-day design and development of solution architecture and data/analytic solutions
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Finance, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience leading analytics &/or solution design projects with proven track of delivery insights and client impact
  • A curious and open mind, keen on delivering the best solution to our clients.
  • Ability to develop and present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions.
  • Previous experience with building prevention and detection use cases, functional requirements, architecture, strategies in fraud preventions.
  • Exceptional, critical thinking, presentation, and analytical skills.
  • Strong team and work ethic, comfortable with ambiguity, change and challenge.
  • Consulting or other client-facing experience is preferred.
  • Previous working experience in the public sector is preferred.
  • French language is an asset.

Total Rewards


The salary range for this position is $101,000 - $169,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
