Responsibilities For Hospital Security Guard

  • Lead a team of Security Professionals to ensure a safe hospital environment
  • Coordinate daily briefings and liaise with Clinical Leads regarding patient care and site activity
  • Monitor patrols, respond to incidents, and manage all emergency protocols including Code White, fire alarms, missing persons, and medical emergencies
  • Oversee documentation, including incident reports and compliance logs, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy
  • Conduct audits of safety systems (CCTV, panic alarms, fire extinguishers) and ensure site readiness
  • Act as a primary contact for client communications and escalate concerns when needed
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of security staff
  • Foster a respectful, team-oriented workplace and promote de-escalation and violence prevention techniques

Qualifications For Hospital Security Guard

  • Saskatchewan Security Guard License Certificate and First Aid/CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in security, healthcare, or a related field
  • Minimum 1 year of security experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to lead by example and build positive team/client relationships
  • Comfortable using technology including reporting tools and CCTV systems
  • Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting is a strong asset
  • Ability to work independently, adapt to change, and remain calm under pressure
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
