In this role, you will:
- Be an emerging leader within the Waterfront PMO
- Assist the PMO team of approximately 15 individuals responsible for Cost Control, Scope Control, Change Control, Risk Management, Earned Value Management, Project Communications and Project Controls Reporting functions
- Work with the Financial Controls Team to enable accurate project forecasting, includes creating financial models based on various scenarios for analysis by senior team members
- Compile data from diverse sources into clear, accurate reports and provide detailed, logical analysis to support project decision making
- Assist in the implementation and management of various PMO business and process improvement initiatives
- Support Project Delivery Teams in identifying and mitigating risks and issues with the use of project performance measures
- Develop reporting dashboards and monitor project and project performance against agreed performance measures
- Support review of proposals and RFPs (request for proposals) against operational and project requirements, controls and alignment
- Support Project Delivery Teams with identification and management of performance measures, performance trend analysis, interpretations and communication of performance.
- Support project close out activities and reporting
- Identify and implement process and performance improvements
- Liaise directly with Business Improvement and Quality Management teams to ensure alignment of performance measures across the organization
- Support the PMO and Project Controls manager in execution of Project Control, reporting, communications as required
- Has excellent written and oral communication skills
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Possesses a keen ability to think critically and solve problems methodically
- Is interested in Project Management and willing to learn and development themselves to become a Project Management Professional (or equivalent)
- Has excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal with a variety of people at all levels and skills in the organization, including president, directors, customer, and subcontractors
- Holds a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Finance, or related field
- Is a self-starter, flexible, and able to work under pressure
- You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
