Culligan of Regina, a Culligan franchise, is seeking out an individual with passion for technical stuff. Candidate must have technical experience to provide service and repair for Culligan products in the field.

The field service technician provides repairs, upgrades, maintenance, and installations for Culligan equipment and products. The technician’s goal is to provide the maximum amount of service to clients in order to exceed customer expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum two years of related or technical experience required.
  • Basic knowledge of water softening and drinking water systems is an asset
  • Mechanically Inclined
  • Plumbling experiance would be an asset but is not necessary
  • Analytical problem solving skills
  • Excellent customer service, problem solving, oral and written communication and organizational skills required.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid Driver’s License and good driving record.


Industrial Service

  • Exchange DI tanks and other portable exchange equipment, including troubleshooting and corrective action during the exchange
  • Provide entry level or intermediate support involving installation, start-up, service maintenance, modification and repair of water purification equipment and systems.
  • Communicate with the customer verbally or in writing, service related issues, including troubleshooting and diagnosis problems, and recommend the best course of action.
  • Prepare daily logs and administrative paperwork regarding daily work.


ENVIRONMENT:

  • Position requires work in a wide range of commercial and industrial facilities including; utility rooms, storage facilities, basements, high-tech industrial work areas, sanitized areas for food preparation or material processing, or hospitals and clinics.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to sit for periods up to two hours or more.
  • Ability to stand, reach, and bend for up to 8 hours and use of stairs.
  • Ability to push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Ability to finger, grasp, and use tools and equipment.
  • Ability to speak, hear, read, and write the English language.
  • Close visual acuity is required.
  • Physical ability for this position is considered heavy exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally. Over 100 pounds assisted. Ability to move 250 pounds assisted.


SUPERVISION: Position reports to the Service Manager.

WORK HOURS: Generally Monday - Friday, 8:00 am -4:30 pm. Position requires participation in ‘On-call’ rotation schedule for non-business hour emergencies, by phone and follow-up service if required.
