About The Role

Under the direct supervision of the Manager and Executive Secretary, Public Lending Right Program, the incumbent provides:

  • Administrative and clerical services;
  • Performs data entry and title research in support of the annual PLR library sampling;
  • Follows up with registrants on support material;
  • Responds to general inquiries and provides basic program information to clients;
  • Digitizes and archives information as per policies and processes of the PLR Program;
  • Responds to general inquiries related to PLR Programs;
  • And performs other related duties.

Education

  • Two-year college diploma in administration of related field or the equivalent knowledge gained through specialized training and experience

Experience

  • Two (2) years of experience directly related to the responsibilities of the position

Knowledge

  • High Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Basic knowledge of bibliographic and library collections practices and standards

  • Solid organizational and administrative skills
  • Demonstrates initiative and strong attention to details
  • Proven ability to exercise good judgment, tact, and discretion

Bilingual Requirements

This position requires the use of both official languages. The requirements in the second official language are:

  • An intermediate level in reading comprehension (B)
  • A basic level in writing (A)
  • An intermediate level in oral (B)
