How you will create impact:

  • Negotiating with stakeholders through the elicitation, documentation, and validation of requirements to support existing system functionality and small-scale enhancements.
  • Guiding the assessment of technical solutions and functional specifications, acting as intermediary between the Technology team and Business stakeholders.
  • Performing data analysis, data modeling, mapping, and process flows to support system functionality, integrations, and conversations.
  • Employing a creative approach to problem solving, relationship management, and communication to drive effective results.
  • Monitoring requirement traceability during design, development, and testing to ensure the solution aligns to the business benefits.
  • Demonstrating your knowledge of Agile principles and practices, through ceremonies, and requirement outputs (such as user stories, acceptance criteria, and use cases).

To join our team:

  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification and/or International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) certification, with a minimum of 3 years of experience delivering IT projects, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in the Financial Services industry, particularly with Commercial Insurance is an asset.
  • Proven experience with agile delivery methods.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, specifically Visio, Excel, SharePoint, One Note/One Drive, and Outlook.
  • Experience working in project execution tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Prior experience with JAVA based implementation is an asset.
  • Prior experience with SharePoint implementation is an asset.
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn project practices at Sovereign Insurance.
  • Self-driven collaborator, with strong communication and critical thinking skills.

  • You will be subject to a Criminal Record and Consumer History background check as a condition of employment, in the event you are the successful candidate.
  • You will be required to attend training and certification programs relating to the technology platform used.
