Job Description
LuminUltra is hiring a Procurement Coordinator to join our dynamic and growing Supply Chain team. This is an excellent opportunity within an innovative and energetic organization.
The Procurement Coordinator will assist in the development of material planning forecasts, assist with purchasing activities, maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, and participate in evaluating quality, price, reliability, technical support, and availability of goods and services for suppliers. This position offers an annual salary range of $40,000 to $50,000, depending on experience.
The ideal candidate will be an accountable, detail-oriented, and highly dependable individual who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
In this role, the Procurement Coordinator will have key responsibilities, such as:
- Working with the Director, Planning & Procurement, assisting with the development of material planning forecasts and purchasing requirements.
- Resolving issues related to purchasing quality, costs, and delivery discrepancies.
- Confirming orders with suppliers, resolve delays, and ensure timely deliveries.
- Coordinating purchase orders with production schedules to reduce downtime.
- Accurately inputting and maintaining purchasing/inventory data in ERP (Oracle Fusion).
- Collaborating with the operation teams on material supply flow.
- Helping implement procurement procedures to support scalability.
- Supporting supplier transactions and logistics, where required
- Identifying opportunities to reduce costs through better sourcing and material optimization.
- Researching and assisting in sourcing new materials and vendors.
- Addressing special requirements and escalating issues to management for swift resolution.
- Contributing to the company’s Quality Management System by driving continuous process improvements that enhance business compliance and customer satisfaction.
- Participating in export compliance and other regulatory processes, as required
- Taking on other duties as assigned, always striving for operational excellence and customer-centric solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelors’ degree or diploma in business, supply chain, logistics, or related field; or equivalent combination of relevant professional experience and education.
- 1-3 years of experience in material planning and/or purchasing.
- High attention to detail, and a team player with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively.
- High sense of urgency and ability to work as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
- Process improvement experience, an asset.
- Proficiency with Oracle Fusion or similar MRP, an asset.
- Experience working in an ISO 9001 or similar environment, an asset.
