About the Opportunity:
Our Accounting team is growing, and we’re looking for a highly motivated, dedicated, and results-driven individual to join us in a hands-on role. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with and directly support the Director of Finance and Controller on key financial and accounting tasks. It's an excellent opportunity for someone eager to contribute actively within a dynamic team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated Reporting package
- Fixed assets and Intangible assets entries and reconciliations
- Bank Reconciliations and other balance sheet reconciliations
- Inter-company invoicing, related COGS, reconciliations and eliminations
- Analyze and prepare Prepaid expenses and rebate accruals
- International accounting/governance
- Ensure compliance with all relevant global tax laws. Prepare and process sales taxes, includes Canada, USA, UK, Europe, Australia and other global jurisdictions
- Assisting with invoicing, cash management, and vendor management
- Assisting with Year-end audit for various jurisdictions
- Exposure to multi-currency environment and FX related accounting transactions
- Leading and assisting on special projects
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of progressive and hands on experience in Finance/Accounting
- CPA designation required
- Demonstrated knowledge of accounting policies
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience using accounting software, such as Netsuite as well as Microsoft Office
- Self-motivated and reliable, with strong organizational and time management skills
- The ability to work independently, and cross functionally, as part of a team
- Previous experience in an international environment with high transaction volumes, such as retail, is an asset
- Adept and learning and adapting to new technologies
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapid growth environment
