Opportunity
DAVACO is looking for dynamic individuals for projects throughout Canada! As a project-based merchandiser, you will work as part of a team to reset client stores. The Installer will be responsible for showcasing products at our client’s locations by building and/or maintaining attractive displays, as well as coordinating with the subcontractors performing related construction duties on site.

DAVACO is looking for dynamic individuals for projects throughout Canada! As a project-based merchandiser, you will work as part of a team to reset client stores. The Installer will be responsible for showcasing products at our client’s locations by building and/or maintaining attractive displays, as well as coordinating with the subcontractors performing related construction duties on site.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for reset activity, shelf conditions, the tear down/rebuild, and schematics/Planogram completion or have visual merchandising experience.
- Must have basic knowledge of store fixtures and installation.
- Maintains cleanliness of fixtures, displays, aisles.
- Responsible for general labor duties such as: unloading of trucks, pallets, boxes, and stocking of shelves.
- Measure shelves for correct height and width, move shelves, as necessary.
- Assist with Rearranging store shelves and display areas as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the team lead.
- Coordinate subcontractors on site.
Job Attributes and Skills
- Effectively communicate with all levels of the DAVACO organization, as well as temporary personnel, subcontractors, outsource partners and client representatives.
- Review field issues and opportunities with the Field Project Manager you are working with on a project or if none are assigned review with the Project Manager directly.
- Ensure all Client Portal information, job reports and documents are submitted correctly and on time.
- Ensure positive communications with all people associated with the project and especially all client representatives.
- Complete field employee Job performance evaluations on every job and send them to your Divisional Manager.
- Ensure your crew and the job site meet all DAVACO requirements for appearance, cleanliness, safety, and professionalism.
- Thoroughly understand project floor plans, fixture placement drawings, construction drawings, and all electrical plans, lighting plans, and all construction codes as affected by local and state ordinances.
- Perform “hands-on” duties to meet the time and action plan and any deadlines.
- Delegate responsibilities and tasks to subordinate DAVACO crewmembers as appropriate. Follow-up, inspect, correct.
- Quality control check on assigned projects.
- Prioritize work, responsible for the project layout /timeline, scheduling of all trades and deliveries, coordinating all job site activities and working with mall management to ensure workflow is in line with all deadlines.
- Track change orders and complete required reporting that includes daily logs of trades on site and daily progress.
- Notify Project Manager of fixture and material shipments.
- Motivate employees on assigned jobs.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, train, motivate, mentor, and develop crew members assigned to projects.
- Supervise, motivate, mentor instruct.
- Develop the skills and professionalism of crew assigned to your projects.
- Report to the Divisional Operations Manager any and all serious or non-serious safety violations that risk or cause harm to others or property.
- Implement corporate safety procedures, ensure job site safety is a priority, and safety standards are followed.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Must have a minimum of 6 months of reset merchandising experience in drug store, grocery, or hardware resets.
- Must have demonstratable leadership qualities.
- Must be hands-on, including proficient operation of tools.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must have the ability to travel to all assigned locations, being on the road for extensive periods.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively with coworkers, store personnel and vendors.
- Smartphone with data service is needed.
- Can lift and/or pull, push 50 lbs. without assistance.
- Can stand for 8 to 10 hours at a time.
- Must be able to climb ladders.
- Must be able to stoop and crouch.
- Must be able to have color determination.
