About The Role
We’re looking for a Unit Manager, Facilities to join our growing team!
Now more than ever, you and your team will play an instrumental role in making sure our workplaces are environments where our people feel safe, included, connected, and inspired to be and do their best. To be successful as a Unit Manager, Facilities candidates will need to be able to adapt to unexpected situations involving both the office environment and administrative tasks, as well as offering support and guidance to the teams in their day to day activities.
This position will ask for successful candidates to be available to work in office 5 days a week between Monday to Friday during operating hours at our downtown Calgary office location.

What You’ll Do Here
- Provide coaching and mentorship to direct reports, including providing feedback on behaviours and competencies and on ways to improve and manage efficiently.
- Monitoring of phone statistics for the reception to ensure optimal productivity and capacity.
- Comply with budget allocations and build relationships with suppliers that will benefit the growth of the company.
- Maintain a can-do attitude when facing difficult situations or long projects involving different departments.
- Address and facilitate any concerns within the service centre.
- Solid preparation and active participation in the calibration sessions and team leader meetings.
- Ensure effective career pathing and development plans in order to identify and develop talent.
- Undergraduate degree or any combination of equivalent education and experience
- 3+ years of management experience including the ability to motivate and engage a team
- Solid knowledge and experience in Facilities Management & office Administration
- Experience handling external vendors and contracts
- Outstanding customer service, communication, and relationship building skills
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Comfortable working with a sense of urgency and can adapt approach and work due to an unexpected or unpredictable situation
