Title: Junior Product Marketing Manager
Reports to: Product Marketing Manager

Summary


As a Junior Product Marketing Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the strategic and analytical aspects of our Product Categories within the Canadian market. This position involves a blend of activities, from conducting market research to assisting with go-to-market strategies and liaising with our overseas Product Division team. Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is required to ensure effective communication with our international counterparts.

Responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:


Strategic Support:
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to understand consumer needs and industry trends, ensuring our products are aligned with market demands.
  • Perform competitive analysis to stay ahead of market trends and discover new opportunities, keeping our product lineup competitive and innovative.
  • Assist in developing and executing multi-year product roadmaps that align with our strategic goals, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define product designs, features, and user experiences.
  • Continuously gather and incorporate feedback from key stakeholders, including customers and retail partners, to enhance our product offerings and positioning.

New Product Introduction Process:
  • Support the launch process for new products in Canada (NPI), from conception to market introduction, ensuring a seamless process.
- Assist in crafting and executing go-to-market strategies that include competitive retail pricing, product positioning and market fit, promotional planning, and channel engagement - Develop detailed product pages that highlight consumer oriented features, characteristics, and specs, to easily communicate the value of new products to consumers
  • Act as a liaison between Marketing, and Sales teams, ensuring timely and consistent communication of product updates, launch timelines, and strategic priorities across the organization.

Liaison with Overseas Product Division:
  • Leverage relationships with overseas product planning and portfolio management team members to maximize opportunities in the Canadian market.
  • Negotiate and confirm Transfer Pricing (TP) with overseas counterparts, ensuring our value chains meet profitability targets.

Business Management:
  • Monitor, analyze, and strategically influence key product performance metrics, including net sales revenue, profitability ,SKU productivity, strategic category sales, and aged inventory, delivering expected KPI results.
  • Assist in defining and executing a channel management strategy in collaboration with stakeholders.


Requirements:


  • 3 year College or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in consumer goods product management, marketing, or sales, preferably in the small or major appliance industry.
  • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese.
  • Strong project management skills with experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong MS Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams and PowerBI
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem solving skills.
  • Strong analytical, data visualization, and storytelling skills
  • Experience with product development processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Canadian appliance market.
  • Good understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Experience developing and executing brand and go-to-market strategies, pricing, positioning, and promotional planning.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
