As a Document Controller working in the Civil & Infrastructure team at Pomerleau Construction, you will play a key role in construction site administration and managing a variety of documentation activities.. Working on large-scale civil and infrastructure projects – ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion – you plan, configure, implement, and manage the document systems in accordance with our contractual requirements.
What You Will Do
- Write document management procedures for the project, including document access management and definition of document communication and approval workflows.
- Develop a clear and concise document coding and identification system.
- Configure and implement the various components of the electronic document management software.
- Manage the administrative compliance and the documents developed or received by the various teams within the framework of the project (design, construction, estimation, commercial, proposal document).
- Provide training to users on the use of the document management system and processes.
- Act as the subject matter expert for users of the document management system.
- Produce transmittal slips and distribute project documents to the appropriate parties and stakeholders.
- Ensure that document management processes and best practices are followed and upheld at all times.
This role could be for you if you have
- Training in archival science, electronic records management or other relevant certification.
- A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in records management.
- Experience in project document management.
- Good knowledge of current computer software (Office suite, Adobe Acrobat).
- Knowledge of commercially available document management software; knowledge of Procore is an asset.
Additional Assets Include:
- Knowledge of the construction industry.

The expected salary range for this opportunity is $63,000 - $75,000. Please note that salaries may vary depending on the candidate’s experience and geographical location. Listed compensation is exclusive of bonus and in addition to our extensive employee benefits program which is listed above. Availability of certain benefits may vary based on the specific job role.
