Job Description:

On behalf of our client, Affinity is seeking a Tier 2 Operations Support Analyst for a 6-month contract. The ideal candidate will manage escalated Tier 1 support issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure the reliability and up time of the network infrastructure. This role demands strong troubleshooting abilities, a firm grasp of networking fundamentals, and experience with cloud technologies.



Responsibilities:

  • Handle escalated Tier 1 tickets, primarily related to network connectivity and troubleshooting
  • Perform root cause analysis on recurring technical issues to implement long-term solutions
  • Monitor network devices, backups, and infrastructure health to maintain uptime
  • Manage deployment of software updates and security patches
  • Assist with troubleshooting hardware issues at both network and workstation levels
  • Support SD-WAN migration and other network initiatives
  • Work within cloud infrastructure environments, including Azure networking
  • Maintain and update technical documentation such as knowledge base articles, SOPs, and issue inventories
  • Deliver high-quality customer service and maintain clear, timely communication with stakeholders


Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of experience in IT operations or related roles
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, and VPN
  • Experience with Fortinet devices and relevant certifications preferred
  • Proficiency in monitoring tools and ticketing systems
  • Familiarity with Azure Networking is an asset
  • Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong communication and documentation capabilities
