Full-Time or Part-Time Emergency Medicine Physician
If you are an awesome physician with Emergency Medicine experience, we are a perfect match—because that’s exactly what we are looking for! We welcome Royal College EM trained docs, Family Medicine physicians, new grads and those with CCFP (EM) to apply.
A Little About Us:
Located at the southern tip of Ontario – only 3 hours from Toronto and 1 hour to Detroit
200 bed community hospital
2 Sites: Chatham (40,000 visits/year) and Wallaceburg (15,000 visits/year)
Schulich School of Medicine distributed education site, welcoming 100+ medical learners every year
Hospital EMR is Cerner
Supports Offered:
CT, MRI, X-Ray, Ultrasound, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine
24- hour laboratory and respiratory therapy services
Internal Medicine, ENT, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, General Surgery, Anesthesia, Psychiatry, Ophthalmology, Psychiatry, Urology and OB/GYN
Palliative care nurses, physical therapists and Psychiatric Assessment Nurses (PAN)
ACLS, ATLS and PALS training offered in-house
Mentorship program for new graduates
CPSO Supervision for international graduates
The Schedule:
Shifts range from 8-12 hours long
Work 1-12 shifts per month
No minimum commitment required
Show me the Money!
Our AFA pays between $150 to $211 per hour, depending on the shift.
Shadow billings of 37% (Chatham) and 10% (Wallaceburg) are paid on top of hourly rates.
If you cover a HOCC shift you will get $497.74, just for putting your name on the schedule. If someone falls ill and you’re called in, you can bill Special Visit Premium codes as an added bonus.
Free accommodations for locums: newly renovated 2-bedroom home steps from the hospital with laundry, Wi-Fi, furnishings, linens, cleaning and parking included.
Recruitment incentives ($$$$$) are currently being offered to those who are ready to make a commitment.
