As a Construction Quality Manager working in the Major Projects team at Pomerleau Construction, you will play a crucial part in managing the design development and technical aspects of design-build construction projects. Supporting our work on large-scale building and infrastructure projects - ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion The Construction Quality Manager supports the Quality Director on the Quality Management System implementation and maintenance. The primary duties include creating and implementing the Quality Plan and policies, overseeing the organization’s Quality performance, and ensuring the organization is fully compliant with the ISO 9001 requirements.

As a Construction Quality Manager working in the Major Projects team at Pomerleau Construction, you will play a crucial part in managing the design development and technical aspects of design-build construction projects. Supporting our work on large-scale building and infrastructure projects - ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion The Construction Quality Manager supports the Quality Director on the Quality Management System implementation and maintenance. The primary duties include creating and implementing the Quality Plan and policies, overseeing the organization’s Quality performance, and ensuring the organization is fully compliant with the ISO 9001 requirements.
What You Will Do
- Provide guidance and monitor consistent implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System and related procedures across the entirety of the project.
- Serve as a facilitator for Continual Improvement initiatives including Corrective Actions and Opportunities for Improvement.
- Manage the organizational knowledge process.
- Follow up and record Quality Working Groups’ meetings.
- Ensure that project staff and stakeholders are properly trained and familiarized with the QMS.
- Prepare and record training related to QMS and support for technical training control and delivery.
- Monitor KPIs and other metrics related to the effective operation of the QMS.
- Support the Quality Director on Quality Audit Program Plan implementation.
- Support the Quality Director on Quality Management System report preparation and release.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar field.
- 10+ years of experience in Quality Management on heavy civil construction projects overseeing the quality of a project within the field of rail and transit or transportation and infrastructure projects of similar size, complexity, and contractual value to this project.
- Proven experience in the development phase of the quality plans of a project and implementing a quality management system.
- Experience developing Quality Control Plan/Manual, QA plans, Inspection and Testing Plans, process mapping, internal quality procedures and processes, and managing a non-conformance management system.
- ISO Lead Auditor certification and experience with ISO 9001 management system required
