We are hiring a Sales Manager! (Maternity Leave Contract)

Being the Sales Manager at a Concord Hospitality property means you hold an important key to the hotel’s success. You will develop and foster hotel business through direct sales, marketing, telemarketing, direct mail, and tours of the hotel for both guest rooms and event space.

Job Summary

The Sales Manager is responsible for developing and nurturing group and catering business through proactive and reactive sales efforts. This role ensures exceptional customer satisfaction for both external clients and internal partners, with a focus on generating repeat and referral business. The position involves maintaining existing accounts, identifying new opportunities, and maximizing revenue through strategic sales and event coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal teams and external clients at all times.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to all inquiries, ensuring clear and concise communication that reflects the hotel’s standards.
  • Demonstrate strong time management, self-motivation, and attention to detail in all aspects of the role.
  • Maintain and grow assigned accounts and market segments while actively pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Manage all aspects of group and event planning, including room blocks, meeting space, contracts, concessions, billing, and event logistics.
  • Attend client events and functions as needed to build relationships and ensure satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to accurately forecast group room nights and F&B revenue, optimizing space and maximizing profitability.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the hotel’s offerings, including food and beverage, AV, and event space capabilities.
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales activity and revenue goals through calls, site visits, and appointments.
  • Utilize digital sales tools and adhere to the hotel’s sales strategies and marketing plans to achieve individual and team objectives.
  • Participate in internal meetings, training sessions, and planning activities as required.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment and demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset to support hotel success.
  • Take ownership of personal career development by seeking training and growth opportunities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of hotel sales management experience.
  • Proven success in a sales-driven environment.
  • Strong relationship-building and client engagement skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Professional, positive, and solution-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related applications.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Bilingualism preferred.
  • Experience with OnQ and Delphi is an asset.
